Please help I have never
Called my toddler greedy or even said it out loud by the way but she is and I'm really worried for her. Today I was so embarrassed took her to a child's birthday party there was food out when we arrived and she kept grabbing food and stuffing it in her mouth I kept saying you need to save some for others, go and play with the other children you can have some later, that's enough now, she just didn't listen you wouldn't believe how much she ate I was worried she would be sick and I don't want her especially when she's a bit older she is 3 now to be thought of as a little piggy. I would never say this to her but I know some people can be cruel even if they don't say it they think it. What can I do to help her? I don't want her to have an issue with food. In the end I ended up taking her home early with her crying because she wouldn't go and play in the bouncy castle she just kept grabbing food and wouldnt listen and I really thought she was going to be sick I felt so bad but didn't know what else to do. For reference she had about 12 chicken nuggets, 10 sausage rolls, 5 bits of pizza and 3 bowls of fruit

Perhaps it's just me but that doesn't seem like a huge amount for an active toddler at a party.

What had she eaten leading up to the party?

Can I ask what her centiles are like? Are they fairly similar for height and weight?

Also, does she have a say over what goes on her plate at home? Do she manage to serve herself?

There's a useful guide on how much food they need here from the Caroline Walker Trustt*. We found it really helpful Wink
