My baby is nearly 8 months and weighs 14kg. He was born weighing 8lb11. He never lost any weight after birth.
I have only ever breastfed, and when I went to get him weighed the health advisor told me to hold back on weaning and feeding him food (I had started introducing baby rice at 6 months but have stopped).
I took him to the GP and she confirmed that his weight is off the charts, but everything is in proportion (head measurements, height). She said there was nothing visually wrong, but referred us to paediatrics at the hospital.
He is wearing 18month old clothes.
he is reaching all his mile stones, babbling, sitting up independently, trying to crawl, sleeping well.
I just wondered has anyone else experienced anything similar? I haven’t had any appointments scheduled at the hospital yet so am a bit anxious.
