I had a call from my sons teacher this morning. We all know that feeling of seeing the school pop up on your phone. The utter panic and dread.
Anyway my son is 4 and started school in September this year. He’s always been quite particular and he hates change. I knew it was going to be a difficult time for him.
it went better than I expected. He has some what settled in and is making friends. The week before last I had a note in his communication book about him biting a fellow classmate. This is so out of character for him. He has never bitten anyone before. He got bit once in nursery and he never bit back.
i got a call at work today. His teacher told me that He had bitten another child again. This time it was worse and that i needed to speak to him again. About using his words. She said it was out of character for him and that it appears he only does it when he’s frustrated. I can’t get my head around it all.
i feel like it’s my fault. Parents at his school will start to hate me and blame as his mother. I don’t want him to be the child everyone hates who know one wants to play with.
i don’t know how to tackle this. Help!!!
