My baby boy was 11 weeks old yesterday. I suffer from coldsores every few years and I also suffer with the occasional whitlow.
I have developed a whitlow on my finger and unbeknown to me, did not realise this was pet or the HSV1 virus - the same as a coldsore. I am absolutely petrified that I’ve given it to my baby. It was uncovered for two days as I just didn’t believe it to be contagious. I’ve contacted the GP who has prescribed me antiviral cream and has just told me to act with caution, keep it covered and that there’s not much that I can do.
Has anyone been in the same boat? Positive thoughts to send my way? I am absolutely petrified!
