11 year olds and toys

My son just had his 11th birthday and he wanted toys, dinosaurs mainly. When he told his friends they laughed, he got upset and now doesn't want to play with them. Whats your opinion on 11 year olds getting toys?

My 14 year old son has just about grown out of toys. Up to age of 12-13 he would play with his car toys on the stairs more than he would play a game

Thanks he is. His younger brother keeps him young and his friends make him older.
