2 year old started hitting

Hey lovely mummies... so my 23 month old has starting smacking when she gets told no or can't get her own way.. she has never been smacked or seen any aggression around her.. she has however started going to nursery for 3 months only for a day and a half she seems to love it I am not sure whether she sees other kids do it there her teachers have said she doesn't do it at nursery though.. any one else experience this? X

I think hitting is a pretty normal stage for many toddlers and they don't necessarily pick it up from anyone.
