my ds is 8 nearly 9 months old and he ll just sit and scream and i mean shriek for no apparent reason at first i thought it was cos he might have been in pain teething, but he just sits and every so often will scream as loud as he can???
i just dont understand why. i know there is a thing called finding your voice but the neighbours must think im trying to kill him!!
he says mama dada nev (the rabbit) and oh oh (colin the dog) but i dont know why he is screaming.
did any one elses children do this??

No actually ds used to do this too. He'd lay on the rug and just let out a scream, becos he could.

This is a phase. DS once did it constantly in a restaurant when I'd met a friend for lunch. Was v. embarrassing.

sum times he ll laugh after it and other times he ll just look at me or dp as if to say "well then...?" !!! i think its mostly cos he can lol but it can be so embarrassing especially as im 19 i get peeps looking at me as if to say teen mum screaming kid and no controll!! but thats probs me being paranoid!! lol

It'll pass, you just need to gain a thick skin while he's doing it...

I've noticed a couple of kids this age doing this at various groups we go to. My problem is a sound sensitive 7 month old ds who cries with fear when they do it ! One little girl really terrified him ! It'll be his turn soon
