Could I please get some good suggestions as to what books others have found brilliant at explaining things to a 3.5 year old about life & its inevitabilities.. mine has started to ask questions about death, & I feel it won't be long until the 'how are babies made Mummy?' question comes along. I want to be prepared, not confuse her, & when it comes to death, not pass on my own anxieties, etc. we have a very open relationship & we talk a lot, I just need a bit of help with these 2 subjects as I'm lacking in confidence about getting it right. Thank you.

The Mog series by Judith Kerr … Goodbye Mog is one that still sells well as a gentle look at the themes of death/grief.

Also the Topsy and Tim books still do well, they cover a variety of topics from things like first trip to the doctors, dentists, first day at school: probably a very age appropriate ‘new baby’ one there somewhere.
