Baby Jumperoo - Thoughts needed please.

My DC who is almost 10 months had his 9-12 month check with the HV and HV said that he should be pulling himself up on furniture, gliding and bending down to reach a toy. He is meeting all other milestones, just not this one yet. HV has said Jumperoo probably to blame and is holding him back. I usually put him in there for about 20/30 minutes a day. Has anyone found anything similar if they've used a jumperoo or is it just the fact that babies develop at different paces?

I can't see how 20 to 30 minutes a day is going to inhibit his development. And mine are older but I really can't remover seeing many 10 month old reach down for toys.

Was the HV concerned at all?

Not concerned as such but did say I should box up the jumperoo and she'd call me in 6 weeks to see if he had made any progress. I also have a 4 year old DD and I'm sure she couldn't do that at that age and she didn't have a jumperoo. I was just curious as to others experiences as he really seems to enjoy jumping up and down 🙃

Pulling to stand happens anywhere between 9-12 months. My DD didn’t pull to stand until just after her first birthday (so was 11 months corrected as prem) but HV wasn’t concerned at her 10 month check.

I doubt 20-30 minutes a day will inhibit his development as PP said, as long as he’s also getting lots of floor time.

Thanks both! Very reassuring
