Hi all,

My baby boy has just hit 5 months old. He has begun wanting to go to bed at 5/530 pm and sleeping all the way through till 3pm & then up 5pm , wanting to play and ready for the day!

Does anyone have any tips ? Will waking him up at say 7pm perhaps make him wake up a little later?

We tried to get him to bed at 6 yesterday and he woke up at 5am ready for the day.

He's just fallen to sleep on me now 5pm , and I recon that's him done for the night!

Seems a very long sleep!

I don't mind being up early but 3am/5am is pushing it 😂

How many naps does he have and how long are his wake windows?

I’ve always given mine a Power Nap around 4.30 - 4.45pm for 15 - 30 minutes. I then wake him and he can go through until 7pm bedtime without being overtired.

@Redwood500 hi thanks for replying

He has naps every 3 hours I guess , could be 45 mins max at a time.

I think he may be teething he's very whingey won't let me put him down at all

Could you move bedtime later by 10 minutes. Once he's used to the new 10 minute later bedtime, after about 3 days you move it again by 10-15 minutes every few days until you've got the bedtime you want.
