DS2 has been saying what sounds like "jackdaw" for months now.

Tonight he concentrated really hard when he said it and said it very slowly (for the benefit of his idiot mother).

Turns out he's been saying "dat called?" as in "what's that called?"

Points for perseverence to get his mother to understand him = 10/10

Kbear, he's nothing if not persistent!

It's so obvious now though.

He was two on 18th Jan and is normally pretty clear. He usually stands up and bounces enthusiastically over to me on the bed with his book at bedtime, but he whacked his chin on my head the other night, so has decided against it - this evening, he stood up, did a little jump and said, "Tiny boing...head, BANG!" and rubbed his head with a mournful look on his face.

It still means as much to me, even though I've forced you to say these things

He is, NJM!

Awww hilarious!!!

I still have that fab image in my head of him not going to sleep and shouting "Yellow!"

hunkermunker · 29/01/2008 13:46

He will often be persuaded to go to bed(!) by me telling him pink sky will come quicker in the morning if he goes to bed now.

He lies down, screws his eyes shut tight and whispers "pinkt skty" to himself. Then he sings happy birthday

I'd forgotten "LELLO!" - thank you for that, Miaou!
