When does a baby's eye colour change?

I just wondered if anyone knew?

It doesn't really matter, I know, but ds is 7 weeks old and I was wondering if his eyes would have already started to change if they were going to go brown? Perhaps if they haven't started changing by now then he is definitely blue eyed?

DD1's didn't chamge until she was 8 months and even then they where still blue in some light. DD2 still has blue eyes but they are greyish blue.

Around 3-6 months is the average, with some babies being even later than that.

I think I read somewhere that they can change at any time up to a year. I think it was in the "What to Expect in the First Year" book.

My sons changed at a year and gradually get greener all the time

Thanks for the feedback (just realised that I accidently started 2 threads on this!) I really hadn't realised that they could change up to a year old - in fact someone on my other thread thought they had seen eye colour change even later than this!

I will just have to stop being impatient and wait and see won't I
