Reception Year Behavior Challanges

Evening,

Interested to hear peoples view on the Challanges of a child's first few months at Primary school.

Our first child has been at school for almost 6 weeks now and we have had maybe 3 conversations with the teacher about behavioral issues. One for climbing on chairs outside and being brought in from playtime and being upset and calling the teacher silly. One for running at lunch time and knocking two children over. And lastly for kicking a child in the bum after he grabbed his best friend.

Over the 6 weeks the reward system they use of rain cloud, cloud, rainbow, sun and pot of gold he has been on the cloud and rain cloud a few times (6/7) for the above and smaller instances such as taking toys out at playtime or climbing. He has also had the pot of gold 4 times for good learning, being kind and helpful and being kind to others.

As a first-time parent it's hard to know if this is a common first few months settling at a new school and of course every child is different. The teacher has said about learning boundaries etc but she comes across very cold and unapproachable almost at times when feeding back about a first day.

Just interested to hear other views and experiences?

Thank you
