Screen time

DD2 is 4 weeks with awful reflux. Waiting for GP appointment for meds. We've tried gaviscon but seems to have no effect.

Only way she settles is if I hold her against my shoulder and walk up and down with her. She isn't the kind of baby I can leave in the bouncer for a few mins. She'll simply cry.

However, DD1 is 18 months and also needs my attention. The only thing that keeps her occupied is the screen.

Up until now we've limited it quite a lot so she's only ever had max an hour a day so I could get a break, or distract her while combing her hair or whatever.

Since DD2 has been born I've relied on the screen a lot more so I can see to DD1.

Anyways, my question is, will screen time become ineffective at keeping my toddler occupied if I use it too much?

I'm not worried at all about the development side of things; she already says well over 50 words and picks things up very quickly.
