Toddler occasionally walking on tiptoes

My 14mo has been walking for almost a month, usually flat footed.

However a couple of times over the last week I've noticed she will take a few steps on her tip toes and then go back to walking normally.

I stupidly googled it and Autism came up so now I'm stressing.

Does anyone else toddler do this occasionally?

Yes mine does. I posted about the same thing a month ago. He was walking normally for about 6 months and just out out the blue he started doing it at 20/21 months. I drove myself mad googling. Other than a slight speech delay he is a very sociable and communicative child so I am trying to focus on that.

Have a look at milestones and motherhood on instagram, she's a paediatric PT. I'm sure she says that toddlers experimenting with tip toes is normal if it's not all the time and it's a functional movement for them to practice (e.g. for reaching something high up) Smile
