19 weeks doesn't reach for toys ...

Hello,

It's probably just a wait and see thing but just looking if others have experienced and everything is fine.
I went to a swimming class with babies all around 4/5 months old and the instructor threw some balls into the pool for the babies to reach out for and it seemed like all the other babies where doing that but mine was just chomping away on her hands. I then googled what age should she be at last batting for objects not necessarily being successful and it seems to think 3-4 months.
She's almost 20 weeks old and we've been laying her in the play gym with toys dangling above her since birth, squeezing the squeaky toys and rattling them and she just lays there and watches but doesn't reach out. Her feet kick like crazy but her arms are either flat on the floor or in her mouth. She makes cooing noises and appears excited but just doesn't seem interested in reaching.
For background she was born at 37 weeks but spent a week in neonatal followed by a rocky 2-3 weeks in and out of hospital where she was mainly sleeping in a festal position and so I wondered if that maybe set her development back by a few weeks.
She has a review with a paediatrician in 2 weeks time where she will be 22 weeks, if she's still not taking an interest in reaching out by then I will mention it but would just like for lots of mums on here to now tell me that she's totally fine and will do it in her own time.
Thanks!

I would mention it to put your mind at ease but all babies are so different at this age.
My baby chomped on his hands so much at swimming that when he didn't the teacher commented that she didn't know what he looked like 😅
