7yo excessive burping on purpose

7yo dd has some quite tricky behaviour, she is the youngest of 3 which I think is a factor.

She has always burped and farted a lot and tbh maybe we were at fault initially as when she was a cute toddler we probably all laughed!

But recently she burps repeatedly on purpose one after the other. Partly to annoy her 11yo sister (and it’s very effective).

sounds so silly written down but it’s so tedious!!

I’ve tried giving consequences which doesn’t work as her behaviour escalates it and she gets into a rage.

so now am trying just completely ignoring it but it’s horrible, and her sisters have a hard time not reacting.

she’ll also do things like come right up into your face or your ear and do a loud burp on purpose.

has anyone experienced this? Any advice?

Well, don't let her play you.
Say " oh dear, you must have a very upset tummy. As long as it last, I guess you should only eat vegetable soup" and MAKE a vegetable soup for her dinner. No bread or cheese with the soup. Make a nice soup, but a boring soup.

And for breakfast, plain rolled oats if she does it at breakfast and of course, all the crap, which is counter indicated in case of upset stomach is gone, but her sisters can have it. For school lunches, a toast, wrap, or whatever she has without any of the treats.
