Starting school

Hi, my daughters 4 and started school but the past 2 weeks the teacher has told us she's quite emotional and some days she doesn't want to go in? Is this a common thing for some children as My eldest wasn't like this so I'm not use to it. She is quite a drama queen in general. Has anyone else been in this situation? X

First of all, I expect she's tired, which is never going to help. Is she a summer born? Did she go to nursery/childminder at all or did the pandemic interfere? Also, has there been a staggered start, and if so, have her friends started later? That was an issue with my first one but it all settled down after a few weeks (way before covid).

She's a winter baby! She's also been to nursery the whole way through Covid. She's in the same class as one of her best friends from nursery and everyone starts at the same time x

Thanks. No immediate ideas, I'm afraid, but when you get parent consultations you might be able to dig a little deeper with the teacher.
