Hi all,
First time posting here. I guess I'm hoping for some advice.
My little boy is 12 weeks old and we have had issues around feeding since he was 2 weeks old. Initially he struggled to bring up wind and was constantly straining day and night. We changed his formula to a comfort formula (suggested by the HV) and used infacol alongside. In recent weeks he's been pulling away from the bottle after 1 or 2oz and arching his back. He will then cry for it back. Same thing happens again when the bottle is given back to him, he will gag and spit the bottle back out. It is a real battle to try and get him to drink and I really worry about him getting enough during the day. We've tried sitting him up during and after feeds and giving him gaviscon.

We saw the doctor today and he thinks it could be a cows milk allergy/intolerance as he's been congested since birth and struggles with constipation. He prescribed aptamil pepti, he's had 2 feeds of it today and just gags when the bottle is put in his mouth.
Does this sound like reflux?
Is reflux worse with thinner milk?
Any advice or suggestions for us to try would be greatly appreciated. He's our first baby and we just want to enjoy him instead of being in a constant state of worry!
Thank you in advance.

Hey I've been battling a CMPA allergy with my little girl (10 weeks).. originally she was on cow and gate, then was moved onto lactose free milk (by the doctor) and was advised by HV to try her on kendamill, which all haven't worked. My little girl was then prescribed aptamil pepti 1, and has been on it for a couple of weeks. How's your baby doing on it as my little girl was absolutely fine the first day, the has been so unsettled since the only things that have calmed down are her allergy symptoms. She's just crying all the time and just seems so unhappy😒
