My 11 month old has always been a rubbish napper. She is breastfed, and has always been a better night sleeper, although she still wakes up 2-4 times in the night. She goes to bed around 7pm, has consistent routine with bath, book, feed and cuddles, and has recently started falling asleep jn her cot alone which feels like a massive achievement. Problem is she will only nap on one of us. Either while feeding, in bed with me, or on dad after a long dance, or in the sling. She has always been hard work for daytime sleeping and I feel like I've tried everything. When people say "put her down drowsy but awake" it honestly makes me want to cry because she just doesn't have a drowsy setting! She will just cry and escalate, no chance she will ever settle. I have tried everything and have found myself wasting days trying to outdo her stubbornness.
I am going back to work in a couple of weeks and need her to be able to nap in her cot. What do I do? Any advice most appreciated
