Hey all

Im a FTM, i will admit I am guilty of always over thinking. My LO is only 6m old but I can’t help have a gut feeling that something isn’t right…. Or I may just be being paranoid and anxious?

She sits up unassisted (but needs a pillow behind her incase she falls back), she can roll from front to back/back to front… but she doesn’t hardly “babble” or “coo”, she sometimes screams/squeals to herself but rarely. Don’t get me wrong, she does coo a little too but nowhere near what I’ve seen other 6m old do, and I mean like maybe once a day. No babbling either (bababa dadada etc).

She doesn’t have much interest in toys, if you convince her to try and play with one it lasts all of 1 minute. She seems unhappy a lot of the time, just moans a lot, I try my hardest to keep her entertained 24/7 but nothing seems to please her. Even at baby classes she isn’t interested in their toys or the other babies.

When she hears louder sounds she puts her hands up to her ears…. Or cries. She also stares a lot.

am I overthinking or is the above normal 6m baby behaviour or something she will grow out of? Is there anything more I can be doing? I talk to her all the time, try to play with her, take her to classes…

thanks in advance
x
