Swearing

My 5yr old has decided that it's cool to use the f word all the time. No matter how much I try to discourage it he continues to do it including at school. Any ideas how I can get him to stop?

Suggest a quick word with the class teacher to say you're doing all you can to discourage it. Ask them for suggestions.

What have you tried already?

I've spoken with his teacher so she knows we are trying to get him to stop.
I've tried ignoring it, telling him repeatedly to stop, sending him to his room for a bit, not giving him treats and asking him why he does it and where he learned it from - an 8yr old girl he used to play with taught him but I discourage now because of the swearing and she encourages him to sneak off without asking etc. He says it's cool and fun and his style. 🙄Nothing seems to work.

Is it possible to talk to the parents of his friend? Encouraging him to sneak off, especially at this age, is worrying.
Otherwise all I can think of is "it upsets Mummy, it upsets your teacher, you'll get into trouble at school. It's not cool and fun."
Wishing you success!
