Weaning help!

I’m really struggling with weaning.. don’t know if I’m doing it right or not.

so my little girl has been having breakfast then bottle then just a bottle at lunch then dinner then bottle for bed. Only thing is she is not finishing her bottles, she probably about having 350-450mls of formula a day. She is teething as well so not sure if this has a part to play in pushing the bottle away.

I just feel so stressed. I’m a first time mum and feel like I’m just messing everything up. I don’t want to be causing her and tummy ache or anything but the I don’t want I be under feeding her formulA.

not sleeping well at the moment, just feeling very overwhelmed.

any advise would be great!

How old is she? I always gave milk an hour before food.

Please don't feel stressed over weaning @Ali2016.

How old is your DD? If she's teething, have you tried giving her Calpol and a teething gel like Dentinox?

Like the PP said, I'd try to give food roughly an hour after her bottle if you can Wink

hello,

I’ve been giving her nurofen and ambesol liquid. How long does the teeth take to break through?

How long does the teeth take to break through?

It totally depends on the child unfortunately.

How old is your LO? There are different things that you can try depending on the age.

Our boy is 11 months and he goes off his bottles a bit when teething. We sometimes try putting the milk into a soft silicone cup, but often you just have to ride it out. His last teething episode was a week long.

I don’t know how old she is, but just let her eat as much as she wants of what she is happy to eat and just keep offering the bottles.

we find weetabix with a bit of mashed banana and using formula from his bottle works to fill him because it’s sweet!
