NC for this

Hi everyone my DS has just turned 11 months. I'm a little worried he's my 3rd and he doesn't crawl, walk or say any words apart from "mama , dada & baba"

My other two crawled at 6months and walked by 10& 11 months. DS can't even sit up. I try to help him sit up and he'll just try and jump or put his legs up to avoid touching the floor. Should I be worried? We have a health visitor coming around next week. I'm a little anxious any words of advice?

He can roll and would get to where he wants to be by rolling around and can also sit himself up from tummy time position but that's about it. He can wave and clap too

I don't know why I'm so worried. I was far more relaxed with the other two

Do mama, dada and baba mean anything?
Different babies do different things at different times, my 11 month old has only just started standing and she makes the above sounds, but doesn't mean anything when she says them. However her fine motor control is really advanced.
We had the 10-12 month check a few weeks back and she was behind on gross motor (standing) and communication and is being followed up in 3 months to see if she has caught up. Her standing is already so much better than during the assessment and I'm assuming the talking will come soon as well.

My first didn't start crawling until just before his first birthday, walking at 17 months and never made any attempt at rolling he's now a very normal and active 3 yr old. My second on the other hand is 7 months old, rolling all over the place and will be crawling any day (forwards, she's mastered backwards!) I really wouldn't be worried, some babies are in a hurry to do everything and some just skip certain things 🙂 I believe crawling is no longer considered a developmental milestone by many professionals as some babies never crawl x

My first didn't walk or crawl at 11 months and is doing ok now.

Will your DS bear weight, for example will he stand if you hold his hands?

If he had limited Speech, I think it can be more about understanding at this point. ICan have this progress checker. It's the nearest one to your DS' age. How does he do on that?
