Food throwing 14 months

My 14mo DS2 is a frigging nightmare with throwing all his food off the high chair. It's been going on for a long while now, but used to be just at the end when he was full he'd begin throwing the last bits. Now he seems to do it as soon as I put the food down.

It's driving me potty!

Any tips?

Am trying not to make too big a deal out of it in case it's an attention thing. But it's hard! Constant cleaning up is getting to me and I'm now worrying that he's not actually eating much at all (whereas he always had a healthy appetite!) because he's too busy throwing it all off the tray!

Help MN!

If he's bright and alert at times and is gaining weight, he is getting enough food Wink

Can I ask what a normal day's pattern of offering food and milk is like?

I believe it’s developmental and they’re testing gravity 😉

My DD was the same, I actually had a memory come up today from a year ago where she lobbed her entire dinner onto the floor (she was 15 months at the time). Can’t remember when it stopped, maybe around 16/17 months but she just didn’t do it one day and that was that 🤷🏼‍♀️
