Coping with an unsettled newborn and 5 year old

Hi everyone

Has anyone had an unsettled second? My LO is 7 week old and really unsettled. He's either sleeping feeding or crying. I also have a 5 year old and it's summer holidays at the moment so she is at home and wants a lot of my attention. I just don't know how to cope. If my LO was settled and chilled out in his bouncer or on the swing it would be amazing but he's always crying when he's awake never sits still for more than a few minutes so I'm just getting really anxious.

Did anyone else have an unsettled second and how did they cope? Your experiences would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Really feel for you, it can be so hard when they're a crier can't it?

How's feeding and weight gain going with the LO?

Will they settle in the pram if you go to the park with DC1?

Yes mine was the same lucky I had husband at home to help! It feels hard but it does get so much easier it just takes a while!

Could your LO have colic?

Our LO is 10 weeks old tomorrow and from about 3 weeks until 7 weeks was really unsettled crying all the time etc.

Took her to see GP who saw her crying episode firsthand and recommended adding Colief to her milk (she's formula fed) and it's really made a difference.
