does your 6 month old mouth empty words

my lo is quite "chatty" but only opens and closes mouth without noise - almost as if chewing with open mouth

They mimic your mouth movements without making sound. Is a good sign. An old lady noticed mine doing that and told me it was a sign of intelligence. Not sure about that though

well i hope so since lo been so behind physically it is untrue - can barely hold his head sitll upright even now

but ok he may be mimicking me but never does it to my face!!
