I'm a FTM and I'm probably worrying about nothing but just wondered if anyone could offer any words of wisdom.

When my son was 1 he was saying his name, doggy, daddy and mum but for the last 2 or 3 weeks he hasn't said anything. Is this normal?

I'm just curious if any one else has experienced anything similar. I'm not sure if he's doing it on purpose although I doubt that or if he just isn't comfortable saying them

I don't know I'm probably being an over worrier as usual. Thanks for taking the time to read

Is he currently concentrating on anything, like learning to walk @Rainbowbaby13?

Rainbowbaby13 · 08/08/2022 17:29

He started walking just before he was 1 so he has been trying to master that he's doing well @PritiPatelsMaker

Ok so if he's not concentrating on developing another major skill, how would you say he does with this progress checker?

Rainbowbaby13 · 08/08/2022 17:55

I was wondering if it's connected to teething because he's had quite a few teeth coming through all at the same time.

From the progress checker you sent I would say he does so all those things accept pointing to show me things and he did know a few words until he stopped saying them @PritiPatelsMaker

Ok so if he's stopped talking and isn't pointing, I'd talk to your HV and tell them that he's stopped talking and isn't pointing.

Yeah I will do thank you @PritiPatelsMaker

That progress checker seems dodgy. My DS has just turned 1 and I answered 'no' to two questions and the results have made a big song and dance saying I've answered 'no' to some important questions and to contact them😒.

@HumunaHey yes I agree with that it seems if you don't answer yes to every question that's the response you get
