Speech development query

So my son is now speaking in sentences saying that he wants a drink, he wants a wee, he wants a biscuit etc. but he's not saying when he's upset, he's not telling me that he's sad or confused or angry etc, that's just a cry. Will this come soon now that he's able to say "i want..." sentences?

Hi, from what I remember with my older children they were older when they described how they were feeling. As toddlers you could just tell they were upset, angry etc as they made it obvious with their reactions. They were definitely older when they verbalised their feelings.

How old roughly

Probably around 3.5
