Private referral for high functioning ASD

How and where can I get a private referral to have my child tested for high functioning autism? This has been a worry of ours for years and has also been advised to us by a paediatric consultant.

We have been concerned about our now 6 year old’s behaviours for a few years. We are seeing behaviours that I (in my professional opinion) believe to be signs of high functioning autism.

School have never been able to see what we see at home as our child is exceeding academic expectations but is quiet and shy and can be over looked in school.

FINALLY today, a paediatric consultant (who was seeing our child for a separate reason today) saw exactly what we see at home and mentioned the same concerns as we see at home and discussed it with us. I finally feel like I am not going crazy with my thoughts and want to make sure our child gets the support needed.
