Hi any advice on how to tackle out of character aggression in a 9yo? He's particularly targeting his dad now and dad isn't coping, wants to leave (he's not known for reasonable reactions so this isn't unexpected but it's bloody hard to live with).
I've spoken to teacher and GP and getting nowhere fast while my family falls apart around me. Neurological conditions ruled out we just need to tackle the behaviour and stop it from being ingrained. It's been going on for quite a few weeks now. I've been sent a long list of family wellbeing resources but I don't have the brain space or time to go through them all, and I wouldn't know which one is the most appropriate anyway. I was hoping for clearer guidance from the GP tbh.
How can I get child to stop this behaviour and how can I get dad to respond appropriately if it happens (I dont even know what the appropriate response is)
Any advice gratefully received.
