contradictions, in terms refered to children

just struck me, after hearing another mum get slatted for her dd being too clingy that one persons clingy is another persons close bond.
and it got me thinking about other peoples perceptions and how different people view the same child differently

independent/distant
attached/clingy
deamanding/pita

dykwim?

any others you can think of?

Funny that, i was thinking almost exactly the same thing today myself... How some people can think a child overeacts when they've hurt themselves and others think it's a good thing they're feisty and say when something's not right.
