Hi,

Just needing some advice. Our son, 4 in August is getting worse and worse with his behaviour, and I don't know if it's normal behaviour or not as don't have much to do with other children? He just seems constantly hyper, going from one activity to the other. Constantly shouting. He has really sudden outbursts of shouting in his baby sisters face. Cannot sit still anywhere for more than 30 seconds (not an exaggeration) and just generally plays up. He's only ever dressed himself once, which he gets lots of praise for, the rest of the time its a huge battle, again a battle at bedtime to put pyjamas on. He won't help with any tasks around the house, however little. If we try to give him consequence he doesn't seem to really care. We've taken toys, and he just asks how long they'll be gone for. When I tell him, he just says 'Ok'
He goes to bed at 7pm and does go to sleep very nicely and wakes around 6.30 so not tired and he doesn't have sweets/chocolate (he doesn't really like them) The only sugary thing he has is squash. Help! He's driving us mad and I'm not enjoying being a mother to him at the moment.

Hi @LibbyP15,

I've read a lot that if children have a lot of tantrums a day to seek advice from GP/Health visitor because it could be down to an underlying medical condition.

It maybe worth checking with your little ones nursery/school how they behaves there because I think before a diagnosis (if it is down to a medical condition) the behaviour has to be the same in two settings I.e home and school.

Try and hang in there though, as I am sure you're doing an amazing job x
