My newborn baby’s odd behaviour?

I gave birth on the 16th July, she’s the sweetest little girl ever.
but she startles a lot, I think it’s called the mono reflex. She does that even when she’s not sleeping, even when there’s not a loud noise. I’m not exaggerating, she probably does it every 30 seconds. I’m worried because I’ve heard it can be related to oxygen deprivation in pregnancy/childbirth or cerebral palsy.

I feed her and take a break every multiple gulps because that’s what she likes to do by the seems of it, then during that break she stares off into the distance. This could be all normal, I’m not sure, I’m a first time mom.

I’ve noticed that she also does this thing where she lunges forwards and her arms flick outwards. She has very strange hand motions.
The midwife visits tomorrow so I will bring all this up to her of course, I just want other peoples advice/opinions

Could be totally normal baby movements but good to rule things out. I’m really not trying to scaremonger but look up infantile spasms and check it’s not similar to what you’re seeing. If it is then I’d get her reviewed asap (it’s incredibly unlikely to be this but it does need ruling out). Hopefully totally nothing 🙂
