Anxious little man

Morning .I'm after some advice about our nearly 6 year old son. He's not been sleeping the last few nights and has been waking up crying but can't explain why . Hes learning to tell the time and at school and gets very anxious and worried if we're not out the door by 8:15am. It's come to a head this morning with husband getting very frustrated and he's blamed it on the fact that our boy has too many hobbies . He does swimming lessons (which I feel are essential ), piano lessons and football. He enjoys all his hobbies but hubby has the said the reason he clock watches is because I'm 'ragging him round to all these places '. I try so hard to be a good parent and really thought I was doing the best for him , but I just don't know any more.

If it's hot where you are and nearly the end of term, I suspect these factors are contributing quite a lot. Three activities doesn't seem excessive; presumably he (and you) get a break from them over the summer? If so, just hang in there!

DC1 went through an anxious phase, and I found Helen Kennerley's book "Overcoming Anxiety" helped us.
