Have you managed to end class clown behaviour?

My DD (four) starts primary in September. The “big school” teachers visited her preschool today and she said she made faces at them and silly voices.
The other day, when I picked her up, she threw her bag in the air.
I think she’s the kind of child who enjoys any and all kind of attention and I’m wondering, have you had such a four year old and managed to tame them?
She argues back about absolutely everything, fights with her sister, and I feel like walking on eggshells all the time.

Yes! She’s now 6 and the same. Her clowning around adds value to the class, according to her teacher. And it makes her popular. I wouldn’t discourage it for a second and it can be really funny

My DS was/is like this, mostly. He basically tends to admire and make friends with the wildest child available, thinks they're hilarious, copies them and probably extends it.

He is 6.5 and the same. I hate it as he's definitely seen as a "naughty boy".
