20mo behaviour getting challenging

I’ve got a beautiful 20mo baby girl. She seems to be developing well - running around everywhere, follows instructions, can say over 100 single words and is starting to our words together. Over the past month she has become increasingly stubborn/gets very cross when she doesn’t want to do something/can’t get her own way. She screams and can become VERY upset. She has occasionally tried to bite me and slap.
I’m assuming this is quite normal? This isn’t the majority of her behaviour she is mostly quite happy but this happens 2-3 times a day for maybe up to 15 minutes if she doesn’t get her own way.
how should I be dealing with this best?

Perfectly normal and I found it got easier as their speech got better. Have you tried a book like There's No Such Thing as Naughty by Kate Silverton?
