3.5 yo hates other adults

I have a 3.5 yo DS who will not speak to other adults. He’s fine with us his parents and other kids.. he actively seeks out other kids at play areas etc but hates other adults even family. He won’t say hello, gets upset when they even so much as look at him and it’s causing issues. We encourage him to talk and say hello but he runs away or hides behind us and it’s getting really awkward and frustrating. We don’t know what to do!! He’s ok with the childminder and at nursery and also my sister and her husband when we aren’t there.

Any advice please?!

Not sure on that one sorry @Whodoiwanttobe. Is it a new thing or has he always been like this?
