8 month old advice

My 8 month old daughter eats, plays, babbles all day, LOVES sitting up, can smile laugh and can just roll back to front (but not regularly), and is really strong on her tummy, she can’t follow pointing but hasn’t pointed herself and can reach for her toys

she’s a really happy baby but can’t roll, crawl, stand (even if I put her into position her body starts to bend)..

anyone else have similar experience? Should I be doing anything other than putting her on her back and tummy to encourage rolling and tummy time and all other milestones or should I trust that she will figure this all out in her own time?

If she can't bear weight when you support her I'd talk to your GP or HV. Everything else seems ok, she just probably needs a check over Wink

It’s more like she doesn’t understand how to stand and thinks she’s in her jumperoo so bends her legs ready to jump

Ah it could be the jumper op then Wink

If it makes you feel better, my mum told me that I was a lazy baby, slow to roll, never showed an interest in crawling, then one day, just before 9 months old I pulled myself up and walked away.

Missed out the crawling stage altogether!
