I don't want to be overanxious, but at the same time don't want to miss something that ought to be picked up. My three year old still can't jump at all. She can't jump up and down or off a step or anything. Should I worry, or is this still within normal developmental limits? I did ask the GP about it when she was two and a half, who said she seemed fine and not to worry, she would definitely be doing it by three...

FWIw my dd has some mucscle issues and was consdiered delayed not jumping at 4, and not hopping at 5. BUT they do nothing, dd did leanr to jump about 6 mths ago 4.5 and is learning to hop now 5.3
FWIW it's not affected her at all.
She has always been able to to hold onto things and jump, like a mini tramp etc

My niece wasn't able to jump with 2 feet off anything when she was 3. By age 8 she was competing and winning gymnastic competitions within her age group and above. She didn't jump because she was a little afraid though. Maybe it was a problem with her inner ear that stopped her from feeling balanced enough to make the jump.
That's the way it is with ds. He had glue ear when he was younger and has always been very slow at jumping on 2 feet, coming down stairs etc. He's 5 now and is getting better now that his glue ear has cleared. He's starting to gain confidence and jump off the last step of the stairs and jump of the sofa etc but it's coming slowly.

Thank you - this is reassuring. My dd can't even jump on a mini tramp, Piffle - which makes me think that maybe it is just a confidence issue. Though it is also reassuring that even if there are other issues, it isn't necessarily something I should be doing something about.

Astonished by your niece, quickdraw! Given my own uninspiring sporting record, I have no such hopes for dd.
