Habitual finger crossing by 2yo?

Over the last few weeks I've noticed my 2.5yo DS is frequently holding his fingers crossed even when he's relaxed.

Often he has the 1st and 2nd AND the 3rd and 4th crossed at the same time. It's more prevalent on his left hand (he's right handed atm).

Is this a common phase, does anybody know, or should I get it checked out?

He's of slim build with quite long fingers (future concert pianist?!) but his little fingers are showing a definite curl towards the 3rd finger.

Bump

Have just been to check - at least he is not sleeping with crossed fingers .

dd does this sometimes, so does her father. she doesn't seem to do it during moments of tension, i think she's pretty double-jointed like her dad and just enjoys it, the little freak.
