Hi - my wee 6 month old son has his first cold and along with the usual big green bogies, and streaming mucous, has occassional slight blood staining in his mucous - I know it is normal for adults when they have a cold to sometimes have a bit of blood in their secretions, but is it normal for babies? Prob being paranoid, but thought would check to see if anyone had similar experience before I take him to GP unnecessarily....ta!

my dd (6 months) same - I reckon it's from her sneezing/me trying to clean her nose while she frantcially thrashes her head from side to side/her sharp wee finger nails

Yep definitely normal, their little noses are just as delicate as ours. Try using a humidifier or putting a wet towel over the rad in his room at night.
