Not responding to name

Hi All,

my son is 30 months old and doesn’t respond to his name a lot of times the challenge is he follows all instructions can speak well in 5-6 word sentences expresses his needs likes/dislikes by saying “I want” he has good eye contact he even tell us his name when we ask him where is he( by asking his name)

I am just really confused by this behaviour .Why doesn’t he respond to his name ? If we give him instructions he follows them
well and points to everything and tell us

could this be autism ??please put I. Your thoughts as I am going nuts thinking about this

Forgot to mention he has no sleep ,feeding or motor issues .He also says hello and bye to people when he meets them

If he speaks well and is able to express himself then why don't you ask him why he doesn't respond to his name? 5-6 words sentences sounds incredibly advanced for a 30M old toddler.

is he tells us his name but when he ask him why you are not responding he doesn’t say anything he is really good with communication like we can have a conversation with him and when we follow his name with command he responds but we are so confused that sometimes when we just say his name he Wont look at us
