When did your LO learn to roll tummy to back?

Hi, my LO is 6 months tomorrow and has been rolling back to tummy in both directions for just over a month now. However she will get stuck on her tummy, skydiving arms, shows no signs of knowing how to roll tummy
to back - days consisting of her rolling over, getting cross, me flipping her back and repeat 849494 times. At what age did your baby learn to roll tummy to back and any tips
to help her learn?
thank you

My daughter never learned how to go tummy to back! Like you I remember being so frustrated rolling her back over and over all day and night because she kept getting stuck. Eventually she just started getting up on hands and knees and into sitting from there. She can obviously do it now at 18 months but never actually mastered it as a baby.

as soon as she could get into her tummy she had absolutely no desire to be on her back ever again. Started sleeping on her front and would immediately flip onto her tummy the second her back fit the floor for any reason.

Thanks for your reply!
Haha they sound the same! Soon as I put her on the floor she’s over and then upset about it, soon as I put her in bed she’s on her side and then her tummy! My HV said I need to flip her back every time at night until she has mastered doing it herself, but I feel like I would literally be awake ALL night🫣 it’s hard because I know they aren’t supposed to sleep on their belly’s but I’m starting to think she must just be comfy….

@Firsttimemummyworries yeah I remember flipping her over 72649274 times a night for a while, in fact I’m sure I wrote a tread about it! After a while I just figured as long as she was strong enough to get her head up safely (which she was) I gave up and let her sleep on her tummy. I can honestly say I never noticed her rolling from her tummy to her back before 12 months at which point she was taking steps. I never had any concerns physically, she just didn’t have any desire to do it!

My DD went tummy to back quite early, like 3 or 4 months but couldn't go the other way until over 8 months! I mentioned it to the HV and she said rolling is a bit of a weird and wonderful milestone - some babies really take to it and log roll everywhere, others just dont care for it/can't be bothered basically! There are videos on YouTube tho if you wanted to give some exercises a try.

But if yours is anything like mine I'd expect her to just effortlessly do it one day as if she had been doing it forever lol.

My Ds has just turned 9 months and he can't roll from tummy to back. Hes constanlty going from back to tummy then he crys because he can't roll back hopefully they manage it soon

My DD is the opposite! If we put her on her tummy, she'll roll herself over, but when on her back she has no interest in rolling into her front!
