Hip Dysplasia-what was the alpha angle at ultra scan and what treatment did your DC receive as a result?

my DD2 is 3 weeks old. At the ultrasound for her hips on Wed the assistant said her left hip was 45 degrees (mild) and her right hip was 40 degrees.

All I can find in research is under 43 degrees is classed as severe and will need the Pavlik harness. But no where tells me for how long.

Got the paediatric appointment on Tuesday and on the phone she sounded confident that she’ll be fitting the harness. But she couldn’t say how long it would be on for.

I know a lot of this depends on how my LO hips respond to the treatment. But I just wondered if people could tell me what angle their DC had at ultrasound and how long they had to be treated for?

my head is starting to spin from all the googling I’m doing and the tears certainly aren’t helping my stay calm and collected. I had this as a child and my mum is like ‘oh don’t worry about it’, but I’ve made up a story in my head that due to it being genetic the severity gets worse as it goes down the generations (my mum thinks she had it mildly undiagnosed hence a hip replacement op under 60 yrs old and other problems since. Mine was picked up and I was in harness for 6 weeks as a baby, I now am hypothesising that my DD will be in it for longer and if she has a DD she will have it even worse) -is there any truth in this mad thought process I’m having?

thanks all in advance for any help.
