my 26 month old baby has regressed in his speech and not saying anything at all. just babbling

That's a bit unusual. How are they in themselves @mbells20? Any temperature or feeling unwell?

I'd be tempted to do the MChat Test and ring the HV and ask her to assess him and refer for a hearing test

thank you pritipatelsmaker. we came back from holiday after a month abroad. he then had his second dose of mmr and was unwell for a while. gave him calpol as he attends nursery everyday.
they then started raising concerns about his social and language skills. i have done a hearing test and all is well. HV has done a letter for a paediatrician referall. awaiting feedback. but im worried about him everyday

It's really good that you've got a referral to a Paediatrician. Do you know what he'll be assessed for?
