My 4 mo is draining the life and soul out of me! she cries all day long , is never happy , I can't leave the room, I can't put her down, I have to stand up rocking her to keep her from crying, no one else can settle her, I'm exhausted. She goes to bed well at night but the days are horrendous. She sleeps for half an hour at a time and is so overtired and naggy. I want to get her to nap in her bed now and self settle but how? She does at night. I'm so stressed and hate the days . Does anyone have any advice x

It's very unlikely a 4 month old will self soothe. My 13 month old still needs rocking to sleep for naps and it is very normal. It will get easier.

How are you getting her to sleep for naps? Does she have trapped wind or any discomfort? Are you breast or bottle feeding as with bottle colic may be on the table and with breast she may not be getting enough. If you are worried and it's affecting you too much to cope I would contact your health visitor tomorrow as they will give you the best advice. Everyone has their own opinions on here which may not be the best to follow
