My DS is 14 months and most times I change his nappy he stratches his back and tummy. I just thought it was because it had been wrapped in a nappy and vest and this had made it itchy for him. Recently I read that itching can be related to problems with your liver. He suffered very prolonged jaundice when he was born and now I'm putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. Otherwise he is very fit please if you can put my mind at rest is this normal?

Thank you

I am not a doctor but if he is fit and healthy i wouldn't worry too much. What is the skin like it could be that his skin is a little dry, that can really make u itch. My eldest has always had very dry skin and still scratches at his arms. If u r concerned take him to the doctors, just to put your mind at rest, if your doctor any good he will set your mind at rest. You are only doing what any loving parent would do! There are so many things written nowadays that it's quite hard not to be worried sometimes. Good luck i'm sure he is fine!

Thanks for your reply, the skin looks normal and not dry. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid.
