Uneven thigh creases

My 20 week old DD was in an extended breech position for most of my pregnancy with her legs in front of her face. Six weeks after she was born she had a routine ultrasound of her hips which said she didn’t have displasia.

However, she’s got amazing upper body strength and does tons of tummy time, but doesn’t really use her legs unless she kicks a bit when she’s on her back. She’s also showing zero signs of rolling yet.

I called my GP today as I’m worried maybe they missed something on the ultrasound and I have to go in next week for a face to face exam and then a referral could take ages. The GP enquired whether she had uneven thigh creases and on further inspection she does, the crease on her right thigh is far less deep then on the left. This was also the leg that was slightly clicky at birth and self corrected.

Has anyone had experience of similar? Now I’m panicking what a delayed diagnosis of DDH could mean for her 😭😭😭

Try not to panic. When it comes to thigh creases my understanding is that it’s only the crease higher up where bum meets thigh (if you see what I mean) that matters whereas uneven thigh creases lower down the thighs are rarely of concern (both my sons have very deep thigh creases one side but further down towards their knees and no hip probs.) Given her history sounds sensible to get it checked out but chances are all will be okay.
