1 year old ignoring people

Hi all,

Just looking for some reassurance and whether other toddlers do the same….

My DS is 15 months, walking well, constantly babbling says some words here and that but not huge amounts to be honest, loves food but prefers to wear it Grin.

However, DS chooses to ignore adults and a few friends have picked up on him ignoring his name and constantly looking at other things and little eye contact. I put this down to his sassy personality but it’s nagging in my mind now. He plays with children so well, whenever he sees another child it’s huge smiles and playing with them.

It seems to be adults, he just takes a long time to warm and ignores them.

Anyone else’s children seem to not like adults?! Should I be concerned?

Thank you x

My DD was exactly the same. When she got to around 18 months, if an adult even spoke to her she would completely freeze (was quite funny tbh).

Now at almost 2, she LOVES adults. She’ll try high five them, fist bump them, wave and chat to them. I’d say she got better around 20 months with this.
